Frequently Asked Questions

MOVE YOUR BODY BALM

How long does it take for Move Your Body Balm to work?

Results can vary. Some people experience immediate relief, while others with longer-standing discomfort may notice significant improvement after consistent use – around three times per day over a week. Regular application is key to maximising its benefits.

Does the balm feel greasy?

If your balm is feeling greasy on application, you are using too much. Use only a small amount on the affected area.

ESSENTIAL OILS AND BLENDS

Do essential oils have an expiry date?

The lifespan of essential oils depends on factors like oxygen, heat, and light exposure. Proper storage is critical to preserving their quality. All our Abundance Unlimited pure essential oils include a best-before date on the base of the bottle. Use your judgment before discarding oils past their best before date – sometimes their maturity enhances their character, and they smell even better!

How should I store my essential oils for maximum longevity?

Keep your oils in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. This ensures they retain their potency and aroma for as long as possible.

How many drops are in one mL of essential oils?

There are approximately 20 drops of essential oil in 1mL. This means that each 15mL bottle contains roughly 300 drops, giving you plenty of opportunities to enjoy its benefits.

Why are essential oils mixed into massage base oils when used on the body?

Pure essential oils are highly concentrated and potent, so using them directly on the skin is not recommended. Mixing them into cold-pressed carrier oils ensures safe application while enhancing the therapeutic benefits of the massage. You can also add a few drops to your fav body moisturiser.

Are essential oils safe to use during pregnancy?

Some essential oils are best avoided during pregnancy, particularly certain herbal oils. However, oils like Lavender, Roman Chamomile, and Mandarin can provide emotional comfort and relaxation during this transformative time. The blends safe for topical use during pregnancy are Love, Spirit and Destiny.

Can essential oils be ingested?

In short, for our essential oil blends – NO. Ingestion of pure essential oils should only be done under the guidance of a qualified healthcare practitioner. Incorrect usage can pose health risks. However, when properly diluted in carrier oils or inhaled via vaporisers, or our inhalers, essential oils are safe, enjoyable, and therapeutic, making them a wonderful addition to a healthy lifestyle.

Essential Oil Inhalers: how long do they last, and can they be refreshed?

Our essential oil inhalers last for months. When a refresh is needed, simply remove the end cap, add a few drops of essential oil, replace the cap, and enjoy the rejuvenated aroma.
